Campsites in Britain

Summer is coming, and it looks like it is going to be a warm sun filled one for once. Horraay, time to grab that tent and spend a couple of days or weeks, taking in the scenary and getting close to nature. For the reluctant campers amongst us, Camping doesn’t have to be basic, many of the campsites listed have full shower facilities, swimming pools, bars and sporting facilities now… that’s right singing gin-gan-goolie around the campfire is now almost optional. What’s more many of these campsites are situated in the most spectacular locations, deep within the protected beautiful British countryside. For those who don’t fancy spending a night under the tarpaulin, what about renting or buying your own Caravan. Britain has many caravan sites and parks, where you can “bring your own” or rent one of these movable palaces.

Especially if you have kids, it is great way to introduce them to nature, and encourage a healthy lifestyle, and with any luck there will be so much to keep them occupied that they will forget that there is no TV or playstation.

The days of the trying to light the gas to boil the kettle for a cuppa are long over (unless you want to try of course). Many of the caravan sites have running water and electricity so you have all the comforts your used to, but can wake to the sounds of the birds.
